The U.S. Mint produced 255 million examples, making this ranked 3rd of 10 mint variants by mintage, with 9% of production. The design commemorates the 1869 completion of the first transcontinental railroad at Promontory Summit. Montana, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah.
