The obverse carries a blunt tail 9 as a minor design variant (where the tail of the 9 digit ends abruptly rather than tapering to a fine point), but no other significant obverse die markers have been identified. What makes this variety particularly noteworthy is the reverse pairing: the reverse die is itself a doubled die, listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1964 10-cent Proof WDDR-022. This reverse doubled die displays a spread towards the center on USA, ONE DIME, E PLU, and the NUM of UNUM.
