Description

Sharing the 100DEO-001T catalog code with its Position A counterpart, this 2008 Philadelphia Mint John Quincy Adams Presidential Dollar trail die obverse was struck in Position B edge lettering orientation. The die pair shows Stage A early die state on both sides, with the same small die dot on Monroe's forehead serving as the primary obverse attribution marker — confirming that both position variants originate from the identical obverse die. No reverse markers have been noted. Position B indicates the incused edge lettering reads in a specific alignment relative to the obverse when the coin is oriented vertically, distinguishing it from Position A specimens produced by the same die pair.
