Description
The 2000 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent was struck at the Denver Mint as a cent in the Lincoln Memorial Cents 1959-2008 series. The obverse features Abraham Lincoln facing right and the reverse displays the Lincoln Memorial building in Washington, D.C. Standard production entered the new millennium. The Wide AM variety exists on both Philadelphia and Denver issues. Coined at Denver's facility, which transitioned from processing Colorado gold rush metal to full-scale coin production in 1906.
