Description

Struck at the Denver Mint in 2000, this Lincoln Memorial Cent exhibits a trail die reverse where faint secondary design impressions appear offset from primary features. Light step deviation is visible under columns 5, 6, 7, and 8 with an offset direction of 190 degrees. Die markers identify Stage “B” with the obverse at MDS showing a small die gouge next to the last 0 of the date. The reverse is at MDS with die damage on the L and R of PLURIBUS and a heavy die scratch over the B and I of PLURIBUS. Composed of copper-plated zinc weighing 2.5 grams with a 19.05 mm diameter, this coin was produced during Denver's massive year-2000 production run.
