Primary doubled die obverse for the 2022 Denver Dr. Sally Ride Quarter, WDDO-001 documents a hub alignment error on one of the American Women Quarters series issues honoring the first American woman in space. Attributed by the Wexler Team under Wexler Variety ID 2022-D 25-cent SR WDDO-001, this is the lead obverse hub doubling variety cataloged for the Denver-minted Sally Ride quarter. The American Women Quarters program, running from 2022 through 2025, features annually rotating reverse designs with a common obverse portrait of George Washington in a new right-facing profile by Laura Gardin Fraser — a design originally submitted in 1931 but not adopted until nine decades later. As WDDO-001 for this issue, it represents the most significant obverse doubling identified on the 2022-D Sally Ride quarter among all examined specimens.
