Description
Widely spaced extra ear below Washington's earlobe.Die Markers: Obverse: Curved die scratch below the QU in QUARTER. Reverse: Weak N/S die scratches through THE EQUALITY STATE. Weak NE/SW die scratches through 2007 and EPU. Die gouge in the lower opening of the W in WYOMING.Submitted By: James CassinCross References: None known Obverse Stage A: A die gouge can be found inside the lower R of AMERICA. A die crack extends into the field from the front point of the bust. Obverse Stage B: A die chip can now be found on the die crack at the front point of the bust. Reverse Stage A: A small die gouge can be found to the right of the bottom of the Y in EQUALITY. A pre-die chip depression can be found to the left of the center of the tail. Reverse Stage B: A pre-die chip depression can be found on the upper right T in EQUALITY.
