1964 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-026

Description

WDDR-026 on the 1964 Roosevelt Dime shows a very close spread toward the center on the letters around the rim, the M of UNUM, and the oak leaves to the right. Obverse die markers: a short die crack from the lower right of the T in LIBERTY, running south-southeast to the edge of Liberty's forehead. The 1964 Roosevelt Dime is the final year of the 90% silver composition before the Coinage Act of 1965 mandated the switch to copper-nickel clad — making WDDR-026 a last-year silver DDR variety.
