Ninth cataloged doubled die obverse for the 1963 Proof Washington Quarter by the Wexler Team, WDDO-009 presents an extremely close spread toward the rim on IN GOD WE TRUST. The designation indicates subtle doubling requiring careful magnification — a very slight doubling of letter outlines rather than a bold spread. A light die crack across the base of the bust provides an obverse die marker, while a vertical die gouge north of the D in DOLLAR on the reverse offers secondary confirmation. The 1963 date holds special significance: it was the last year Washington Quarters were struck in traditional 90% silver before the Coinage Act of 1965 transitioned the denomination to copper-nickel clad.
