Bearing attribution codes UVC-223 and DMR-002, the 1952-D DDO-001 Roosevelt dime presents medium hub-doubling spread on WE TRUST, the designer's initials JS (for John R. Sinnock), and the date. Medium spread indicates the doubling is visible under standard magnification without requiring extreme enlargement, making this a relatively accessible variety for attribution. Stage C specimens confirm both the obverse and reverse at late die state, meaning the die pair was in extended service and later examples may show softening of both the doubling and the overall design details. The Denver Mint struck 122.1 million dimes in 1952. As DDO-001, this is the primary doubled die obverse cataloged for the date, and the DMR-002 designation confirms it as the second die marriage recorded.
