Error
Description
Discovered by Oscar Simpson, March 1977. 17 III2 5 - C3c (Doubled Date, S/S) (?) Obverse III2 5 - 1 in date slightly doubled below upper crossbar. First 8 doubled on the right outside of both loops and bottom left inside of upper loop. Second 8 doubled at top and top right of lower loop. The 2 is doubled at top right. Reverse C3c - Medium mint mark repunched w/ original showing as a thin diagonal line on right side of upper loop & curved line at right inside of lower loop w/ tilt to the far left. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # This obverse shared with 1882-S VAM-5, 1882-S VAM-17 and 1882-S VAM-17A. # This reverse shared with 1882-S VAM-6, 1882-S VAM-17 and 1882-S VAM-17A. # It looks probable that all are VAM-17A (they have the reverse die chip).
