The 2022 National Purple Heart Hall of Honor Commemorative Half Dollar is a United States commemorative half dollar. Part of the Purple Heart three-coin program, this half dollar's innovative negative-space silhouette design powerfully conveys absence and loss. The inscriptions 'All Gave Some' and 'Some Gave All' capture the spectrum of military sacrifice. The obverse features a figure in military fatigues using crutches with one leg amputated, shown as a negative-space silhouette, with a Purple Heart medal behind and 'All Gave Some', while the reverse displays a young boy holding the dress cap of a Marine, with a silhouette in negative space, inscribed 'Some Gave All'. Designed by Beth Zaiken and Craig A. Campbell (obverse), John P. McGraw (reverse). Struck in nickel clad copper-n, 30.6 mm in diameter.
