The 1992 XXV Olympiad (Barcelona) Commemorative Half Dollar is a United States commemorative half dollar. Part of the 1992 three-coin program supporting U.S. Olympic athletes at the Barcelona Games, this half dollar features a dynamic gymnastics scene. The United States won 37 gold medals at the 1992 Summer Olympics. The obverse features a gymnast in motion with the American flag and Olympic rings in the background, while the reverse displays an olive branch crossing the Olympic torch. Designed by William Cousins. Struck in 75% copper, 25% nickel over a pure copper center, weighing 11.34 grams, 30.6 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge.
