Description

The 2017 UFO Variety WUFO-001 constitutes a collectible die variety identified by distinctive characteristics resulting from the die manufacturing or striking process. This Lincoln cent weighing 3.11 grams with a diameter of 19.05 mm. Cross-referenced as None known Comments: This 2017-P cent is quite intriguing. There certainly is an extension of the left most vertical bar of the shield down into the top of the N in ONE. But is it a doubled die??? The one aspect of the extension that worries me is the apparent die abrasions on the lower part of that vertical bar and the extension south. It could be a doubled die from a tilted hub that was detected and then the abrasion took place to try to eliminate the errant hubbing.
