Sharing the same Wexler attribution as its counterpart listing — 2008-P $1 JQA WDDR-005 — this alternate catalog entry for the John Quincy Adams Presidential Dollar doubled die reverse documents the same hub doubling event visible at the intersection of the second clockwise ray from the head of the Statue of Liberty and her right arm. The Wexler Team attributed this variety, noting obverse die markers including a die gouge inside the lower portion of the 2 in the date 1829 and additional die gouges east and northeast of the 9. No significant reverse markers beyond the doubling itself have been recorded. Presidential Dollar reverses, designed by Don Everhart, feature the Statue of Liberty in a detailed rendering that includes the torch, crown rays, and flowing robes — elements with fine lines and overlapping detail that make hub doubling diagnostics both challenging and rewarding.
