Description

The Position B Philadelphia Mint counterpart within the WDDR-004 family, this 2008 Andrew Jackson Presidential Dollar carries identical reverse doubling to the Position A entry — visible at the intersection of the second ray clockwise from the head and the right arm on Don Everhart II's Statue of Liberty design — but with edge lettering that reads upright when the reverse faces up. The distinction between Position A and Position B is purely a function of which face entered the edge-lettering collar first during the post-strike inscription process.
