The sixth documented doubled die obverse for the 1963 Philadelphia Jefferson nickel, DDO-006 presents medium doubling on IN GOD WE TRUST. This penultimate year of the original-design Jefferson series before the coin shortage era (1965-1967 saw no mintmarks or proof sets) represents the established maturity of Felix Schlag's design, which had been in continuous production for 25 years by 1963.
