A combination die of considerable significance, WDDR-010 on the 1960 Lincoln Memorial Cent Proof Small Date carries doubling on both sides of the coin — its obverse is independently cataloged as the doubled die obverse variety WDDO-008A, making specimens from this die pairing doubled on both obverse and reverse. The reverse exhibits a spread towards the center on USA, EPU, ONE CENT, and the left side of the Memorial building, along with a counterclockwise spread on all design elements around the rim, especially the designer's initials. This dual-class doubling on the reverse — centerward plus counterclockwise — combined with the independently listed obverse doubling, places WDDR-010 among the most desirable 1960 cent die pairings for variety specialists. The obverse confirms a Small Date hub, and the truncated die markers field references the paired DDO, further confirming the combination status. Because proof dies at the Philadelphia Mint were typically retired after approximately 3,000 impressions, the total population of this dual doubled die is inherently limited. Collectors should examine both sides carefully under magnification: the reverse for the centerward and CCW spreads on the denomination and rim elements, and the obverse for the independently cataloged WDDO-008A doubling that makes this a true combination variety commanding a premium above either side's doubling alone.
