1947-S Repunched Mintmark RPM-004

Description

Cataloged by VarietyVista, this early-issue Roosevelt silver dime from the San Francisco Mint carries an S/S East displacement identified as MMS-002 (Trumpet Tail), indicating a specific punch variant with a flared terminal on the lower S curve. Cross-referenced as FS-504. Die markers UVC-165 / DMR-008 track three stages: Stage A with reverse and obverse at EDS; Stage B with reverse and obverse at MDS; Stage C with weak design elements from heavy abrading at LDS, obverse also at LDS.
