1935-S Repunched Mintmark WRPM-001

Description

Primary repunched mintmark for the 1935 San Francisco Lincoln Wheat Cent, WRPM-001 shows the S/S displaced to the north — the first punch impression sitting below the final position, with the second, higher impression representing the mintmark's accepted location. Obverse die markers are distinctive: circular scratches traverse Lincoln's head and upper jacket area, and very strong NW/SE die scratches appear to the right of the eye.
