Description

Ranked among the strongest Lincoln Wheat Cent doubled dies, the 1925-S WDDO-001 displays extremely strong Class VI extra thickness on the date, LIBERTY, and IN GOD WE TRUST, with the most dramatic spread concentrated on the date and WE TRUST. Cross-referenced across four major attribution systems—Cherrypickers FS-01-1925S-101 (013.3), CONECA 1-O-VI, Crawford CDDO-001, and Coppercoins 1DO-001—this variety's recognition is comprehensive. Die markers include a heavy die chip on top of the D in V.D.B. on the obverse, while the reverse shows a small die gouge extending southwest from the inside lower right leg of the A in AMERICA and two west-to-east die scratches above the CA in AMERICA.
