Error
Description
1924-S VAM-3 Doubled Lowered Reverse Discovered by Jeff Oxman, April 1999. Revised September 24, 2010. This coin is a Top 50 Peace Dollar VAM. 3 (revised) II 1 B2c (Doubled Lower Reverse) I-3 R-4 Obverse II 1 - Die marker - Short vertical die scratch below "E" in "WE". Reverse B2c - Doubled bottom edges of top stems and leaves in olives sprig. Doubled bottom of D of DOLLAR, left edge of leg feathers, left edges of first three rays above ONE and left edge of top ray above back of leg feathers. Die Markers - Short horizontal die scratch at junction of bottom of third ray from bottom of rock. S mint mark set slightly high and slighly to left. Dies clash at fairly early state. Comments: 1. VERY similar to the discovery of the VAM-6 on 09/10'.
