Filed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files under 1924 $1 WDDO-001, this Peace Dollar presents a rare dual-die doubling: the obverse shows doubling on the designer's initials and on the letters TR in TRUST, while the reverse is itself a separate doubled die listed as 1924 $1 WDDR-001. The reverse doubling manifests as a close spread on the olive branch and leaves, the eagle's talons, and the back feathers on the lower legs — three distinct reverse design zones carrying secondary hub impressions from their own independent hubbing event. A coin bearing both a DDO and DDR from matched Wexler-cataloged dies represents an uncommon convergence, as each die experienced its own separate hub doubling error and the two were then paired together.
