Description

DDO-001 on the 1909 Lincoln Wheat Cent — VDB marks the first year of the Lincoln cent with a strong spread West-Northwest on BERTY of LIBERTY, 190 of the date, and the lips — designated as Class IV Offset Hub Doubling. Cross-reference: FS-1101. Die markers: UVC-1210 and DMR-005. Stage A places both the obverse and reverse in early die state. The reverse for both die marriages is RDV-001, carrying the V.D.B. initials of designer Victor David Brenner. I-code markers: I-2, extra Lincoln on the right side of the bust; I-2, lips are doubled.
