Description
1900-P VAM-33 Doubled Ear, Slanted Date, Doubled Left Wreath Discovered by Chuck Avery, September 2005. 33 III2 24 · C3d (Doubled Ear, Slanted Date, Doubled Left Wreath) (189) Obverse III2 24 – Ear slightly doubled at lower right inside, more strongly in late die state. Date slanted with 1 closer to rim than last 0 and in normal lateral position. Die Markers - Lines in LIBERTY, diagonal line right of M at bust truncation. Only lines in Y are visible in late die state. Reverse C3d – Slightly doubled left wreath leaves, lower leaves in right wreath, top inside of wreath bow, back of arrow feathers and lower edge of arrow heads. Die Markers - Lines in wing-neck gap, wreath bow. Short, diagonal scratch up from denticle below 1st L in DOLLAR visible in early-mid die state, horizontal line to left from bottom of 1st L. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: 33, 38 Comments: Shared Obverse with VAM-29 Shared Reverse with VAM-38 Same as former VAM 15C
