Error
Description
1900-P VAM-10 (Near) Doubled Date Discovered by Leonard Hinckley, February 1974. Revised by Jody Faust, 2018. 10 III2 9 - C3a ((Near) Doubled Date) (189) Obverse III2 9 - 1900 in date doubled. 1 is doubled strongly at bottom of upper crossbar and bottom crossbar is slightly doubled at bottom right and top left and right. First 0 is doubled slightly at top right outside. Second 0 is tripled slightly at top left and right outside and is doubled all across top outside. Open 9 variety. Date set further left than normal. Reverse C3a - Small striated die gouge top of eagle's right shoulder. DPIS - B23C Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: 1900-P VAM-8 has similar doubling, but the date is set at the left edge of normal lateral position and the 9 is closed. VAM-10 should be revised as a Near Date.
