1900-P VAM-30A Doubled 9, 2 Olive Reverse, Clashed Obverse n & st Discovered by Mark Kimpton,June 2003. 30A III225 · C4/C3f (Doubled 9, 2 Olive Reverse, Clashed Obverse n & st) (189) Obverse III225– Strong die clash marks with partial incuse n from In showing next to middle neck edge and partial incuse s and vertical incuse stem of last t in Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Later die state of 1900-P VAM-30. The Hot 50 Book lists an obverse scratch in front of the eye as the key marker for 1900-P VAM-18. However, Leroy Van Allen calls that 1900-P VAM-30. After analysis, it seems likely that 1900-P VAM-18 & 1900-P VAM-30 are in fact the same variety. 1900-P VAM-19A Eliminated, became VAM 30A. VAM 30A and VAM 18 have different reverse dies. There is significant crust around "we tru" on VAM 30A, none on VAM 18.
