Description
1900-P VAM-15C Slanted Date, Die Gouge L Discovery 2016 15C III2 13 - C3a (Slanted Date, Die Gouge L) (189) Obverse III2 13 - Die marker - Horizontal fine die scratches in upper gap of wheat-cotton leaves. Reverse C3a - Horizontal die gouges at bottom left of left L in DOLLAR. DPIS: RH3/LE5 Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: The 1 in the date is quite low. On LDS coins, the gouge at the bottom left of the L in DOLLAR is a soft lump. There is also a short, diagonal die scratch at the top of the rightmost denticle space below the first L in DOLLAR that is still visible. Reverse may be shared with 1900-P VAM-33. It appears that the 1900-P VAM-15C, & 1900-P VAM-33 are the same thing.
