Description
1891-S VAM-14 Far Date, Doubled Ear Discovered by Michael Ash, January 2006. 14 III210 · C3a (Far Date, Doubled Ear) (190) Obverse III210– Ear slightly doubled at left and right inside plus at bottom of earlobe. The date is set further right than normal. Field slightly concave with top of E thin. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Ear doubling such as this tends to be remarkably transient and therefore is really not very good for attribution purposes. Fortunately the ear plate photograph also sports a small dot (compare with additional photo of the ear).
