1884-P VAM 23 Far Date, Dbl Cap top (PROOF) Listed May 11, 2011 Brent Fogelberg 23 III2 21 C3a Far Date, Dbl Cap top Obverse III2 21 - Slightly doubled top edge of Phygian cap. Date set further R than normal. Some faint scribbles lines at back of jaw-neck junction. Die Marker - Four horizontal fine die scratches above hair curl in front of ear. Reverse C3a - Die marker- Polishing line thru top of E in UNITED. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Leroy's description does not mention the dot at right wing fifth inner feather from the bottom but it is there on the "discovery piece".
