1884-P VAM-19 Doubled Ear, Far Date Discovery 2009 19 III2-18 C3a (Doubled Ear, Far Date) (189) Obverse III2-18 - Ear slightly doubled at left and right inside. Date set farther right than normal. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: The Discovery coin shows signs of strong clashing in all the usual places on both obverse and reverse. However, that stage is now called 1884-P VAM-19A. There are tangential cracks on both obverse and revese also. The exact same pair of dies was used to produce both the 1884-P VAM-19 & 1884-P VAM-19A.
