Description
1880-P VAM-16B Doubled 80 8/7, Clashed Obverse n, Die break E-P Discovery 2016 by Jim Longe AKA Playtime 16B III2 16 - C3a (Doubled 80 8/7, Clashed Obverse n, Die break E-P) (179) Obverse III2 16 - Clashed die with faint partial incuse left leg of n of In from reverse showing next to Liberty head neck. Clash mark likely faded and disappeared quickly as die crack at E-P progressed. Just has short radial die crack from rim at dot between E-P with slight displaced field break that later firther elongated. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Clashed n quickly wore away leaving only die crack at E-P of 1880-VAM-16A. I dont know for sure which came first, the clashed n or the die crack at E-P with some displaced field break. but this coin has both so made it a new 1880-VAM-16B & 1880-VAM-16A remains with only longer displaced field break at E-P.
