1880-P VAM-24A Doubled 1-80, Clashed Obverse n & st, Reverse M Discovered March 2004 by Mark Kimpton This coin is a Super CD Morgan Vam. 24A III2 24 · C3a (Doubled 1-80, Clashed Obverse n & st, Reverse M) (179) Obverse III2 24 – Clashed die with partial n of In from reverse showing next to Liberty head neck and partial st of Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Reverse C3a – Faint partial raised designer’s initial M from obverse showing above d in God. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Later die state of [[1880-P VAM-24. There is a scratch thru the initial and a die chip on the cap between the top of the cap and the left leaf. # The plate photos of the chip on cheek, lines on right wing, and doubled ribbon, are most likely actually a 1880-P VAM-50/50A and not a 1880-P 24/24A. Shared reverse with 1880-P VAM-33B but has not been confirmed by LVA.
