Revised to include only former VAM 1G.1, October 2023. 1G(revised) II 56 · B2a (Lines in LIB & Eagle’s Left Wing Tip, Acid Treated Obverse) (185) Obverse II 56 – Heavy polishing lines thru LIB in LIBERTY. (Also VAM-96) Reverse B2a – Heavy horizontal polishing lines at top of eagle’s left wing. DPIS – In 1878 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: Former Die 2 and Die 3 now VAM 119 and VAM 120, respectively.
