1878-S VAM-26 Long Nock Reverse, S Tilted Left Discovered by Dave DeRuiter, November 1979. This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM. This coin is a Top 30 1878-S Variety. 26(revised) II 23 · B1a (Long Center Arrow Feather, S Tilted Left) (186) Obverse II 23– Eyelid doubled at bottom front and short spikes at eye bottom front and lower part of eye socket. Reverse B1a– Normal die of 1878 P B1 type with long center arrow shaft. Small III S mint mark set slightly to right with slight tilt to left. Die marker of small dot in incuse line next to eagle’s left leg.
