Description

Doubling shows on the upper first 2 in the date and on the right edge of the Y in LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge (dot) shows above the R in LIBERTY. A series of die gouges show in the field below the ERT in LIBERTY and on the back of Lincoln’s bust. An area of light die damage shows below the S in TRUST. A curved die crack runs across Lincoln’s eyebrow, northeast of the eye. A die gouge (dot) shows on the back of the hair to the left of the lower ear. Reverse: A die gouge (dot) shows inside the opening of the O in OF. An area of die damage shows on the lower F in OF. A pre-die crack depression shows on the upper left edge of the shield. A die gouge (dot) shows to the right of the right central edge of the shield. A die gouge (dot) shows on the right ribbon curl. Submitted By: Steven J.
