Description
First cataloged DDR for the 2024 Philadelphia Jefferson Nickel, exhibiting Class VIII Tilted Hub Doubling above the top step of the center steps and on the upper right portion of T of MONTICELLO. Die markers on the obverse include a die gouge on Jefferson's collar. The reverse shows a die gouge between the last S of STATES and O of OF, a die gouge below E of E PLURIBUS UNUM, and a die dot to the upper left of C of MONTICELLO. As one of the newest Jefferson Nickel dates, 2024 varieties are being actively cataloged, and WDDR-001 likely represents the most pronounced DDR identified so far from this year's production.
