2017 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-008

Description

The 2017-P Ozark Riverways National Park quarter WDDR-008, identified by the Wexler team, holds a well-defined position in the doubled die reverse census for this Missouri-themed ATB issue. It closely resembles WDDR-035 in overall character, but two features separate the two: the extra stone impressions on WDDR-008 are positioned slightly lower than on WDDR-035, and WDDR-008 lacks the close branch doubling that distinguishes WDDR-035. These differences reflect distinct working dies that received hub impressions at slightly different registration positions. Wexler Variety ID: 2017-P 25c MO WDDR-008. The Ozark National Scenic Riverways design depicts a river scene with canoes and rock formations, providing geometric stone elements as clear doubling reference points.
