2017 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-005

Description

By the time WDDR-005 was cataloged, a pattern was emerging: the Frederick Douglass quarter was generating doubled die reverse varieties at an unusually high rate compared to other America the Beautiful issues. The gap from WDDR-003 to WDDR-005 indicates WDDR-004 was assigned to a different mint mark or variety category, common in the Wexler numbering system.
