2017 VDDR VDDR-003

Description

Designated VDDR-003, this 2017 Ozark National Scenic Riverways America the Beautiful Quarter displays strong spread creating an extra upper trunk on the large left tree of the reverse design. The Ozark Riverways quarter depicts a river scene from Missouri's protected waterway, featuring a prominent tree on the left side — the dominant vertical element in the composition. Strong spread on the upper trunk produces a bold secondary outline alongside the primary tree trunk, one of the more visually striking doublings among ATB quarter varieties. Confirmed at Early Die State (Stage A), the doubled trunk should present clear separation between primary and secondary images on well-struck specimens. The VDDR prefix indicates this variety has been verified through VarietyVista's catalog and awaits formal UVC/DMR code assignment. ATB quarters were produced from 2010 through 2021 across five sites per year, and each unique reverse design offered different elements susceptible to hub doubling. The Ozark Riverways reverse's large tree trunk, with its strong vertical lines, serves as an ideal canvas for registering hub displacement during die production.
