ErrorDescription
Doubling shows in the windows in the arch above the center doorway. It shows in the fourth window from the left in the bottom row of windows, in the line below that window, and in the fourth window from the left in the second row from the bottom. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Small die gouge above the right side of the E in STATES. Small die gouge inside the D in UNITED. NW/SE die scratch between the T and Y in LIBERTY. Die scratches between the E and S in STATES. Die scratch above the M in AMERICA. Obverse Stage B: Stage A die scratches abraded away but die gouges are still present. Die chips on the base of the bust left of the designer's initials and above the D in DOLLAR. Long die gouge above the right side of the E in STATES. Obverse Stage C: Stage B markers may or may not be present. Die chips increased in size. Reverse Stage A: Two small die gouges between the O and R in FORT. Reverse Stage B: Stage A markers still present. Small die chip on the lower right side of the building. Pre-die break depression above the guard tower. Small die gouge nearly touches the left side of the guard tower. Reverse Stage C: Stage B markers still present. Die chip on right side of building greatly increased in size. Depression above guard tower progressed into a die chip. Die chip on the left side of the building.
