Description

Extra thickness across the letters of LIBERTY, accented by distinctive notching on the lower left serifs of E, R, T, and Y, characterizes WDDO-029 on the 2015-P Lincoln Shield Cent. The notching — small step-like offsets where the secondary hub impression partially overlaps the primary — serves as a reliable diagnostic visible under moderate magnification. On the obverse, a die crack runs northward from the front of Lincoln's eyebrow into the forehead, while on the reverse, a die crack traces along the top left of the shield.
