Twelfth Wexler-cataloged doubled die obverse for the 2012 Lincoln Shield Cent, WDDO-012 delivers strong extra thickness on LIBERTY — the primary inscription along the left obverse where hub doubling manifests as visibly thickened letter strokes rather than separated secondary outlines. Attributed by the Wexler Team, two additional die-specific markers distinguish this die: a die gouge appearing as a raised dot to the left of the first T in TRUST, and a die chip on the top center of the shield on the reverse. These three diagnostics — LIBERTY doubling, dot left of T, and the shield die chip — provide a robust attribution triad.
