Error
Description
Very strong extra thickness shows on the digits of the date and also on LIBERTY with notches in the lower right corners of the digits and letters. Strong extra thickness also shows on IGWT with notches on some of those letters. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: None significant. Obverse Stage B: A die gouge can be found in the field well north of the RT in LIBERTY and west of Lincoln’s ear. Reverse Stage A: A die scratch runs from SW to NE below the right side of the horizontal crossbar of the T in CENT. Reverse Stage B: A die crack runs along the left side of the top of the shield. A die chip can be found on the bottom of the E in CENT.
