The 2011 (D) Presidential Dollar - Ulysses S. Grant, Position B is a dollar from the Denver Mint, belonging to the Presidential Dollars 2007 to Date series. The U.S. Mint produced 2.0 million examples, making this the lowest mintage among 16 mint variants, representing only less than 1% of total production. The obverse features rotating portraits of each U.S. president in order of service, released four per year and the reverse displays the Statue of Liberty. The eighteenth President (1869–1877), Ulysses S. Grant was the commanding general who led Union forces to victory in the Civil War before serving two terms focused on Reconstruction and civil rights.
