Description

The 2008 (P) Presidential Dollar - Martin Van Buren, Position B was struck at the Philadelphia Mint as a dollar in the Presidential Dollars 2007 to Date series. Total mintage reached 51.5 million. The obverse features rotating portraits of each U.S. president in order of service, released four per year, while the reverse displays the Statue of Liberty. Designed by Joel Iskowitz/Don Everhart. Struck in 88.5% copper, 6% zinc, 3.5% manganese and 2% nickel, weighing 8.1 grams, 26.5 mm in diameter, with a lettered edge. Cataloged as PCGS #394868. The Presidential Dollar Program (2007-2016, continuing with deceased presidents) issued dollar coins honoring each president in chronological order.
