Sharing the same CU-100C-2007P-03R catalog code as its Position B counterpart, this cud on a 2007 Philadelphia Mint James Madison Presidential Dollar was struck in Position A — a different edge lettering orientation that distinguishes this as a separate die pair occurrence. Presidential Dollars received their date, mint mark, and E PLURIBUS UNUM motto incused on the edge in a post-strike process, and Position A versus Position B identifies whether the edge lettering reads normally when the obverse or reverse faces up.
