1995P-1DEO-004T Trail Die Obverse
Error
Description
Not the typical trail die that is encountered, however, it is still one. Slight indications of trails on the top right corners in the word IN. Extra thickness, with an extra bar (this may or may not be an affect of the trails) on the W of WE. Extreme extra thickness is seen on the top horizontal bar of the E in WE. The top horizontal features of the two Ts, the R and the S of TRUST have extreme extra thickness. Notice the divergence of the top termini of the U in TRUST. This gives us some indication of the direction of movement.
Die Markers
- Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die gouge under the T of LIBERTY.
- Reverse is MDS – large die crack from the top of column 8, through the cornice and roof, up through the M of UNUM and the I of PLURIBUS, through the last S of STATES and into the rim.
