Discovered by David Miller of California, this trail die reverse variety on the 1995-D Lincoln Memorial Cent was designated 1995D-1DER-011T by Trail Dies. Documented at Stage B with both obverse and reverse in mid-die state, the variety presents no individually noted die markers on either side — meaning attribution relies on the trail die impression itself rather than ancillary die characteristics. The absence of distinctive markers makes this variety more challenging to attribute than its sibling 1995D-1DER-004WS, which carries specific gouges on both sides. The "T" suffix in the catalog number distinguishes it from "WS" designated trail dies within the classification system. Trail die varieties occur when remnant design elements from a previously hubbed die transfer as faint impressions onto a new die during hubbing, creating ghost-like traces of a design that belonged to a different die.
