The 1994 (P) Proof World Cup USA Commemorative Half Dollar is a proof commemorative half dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint. Total mintage reached 609,354. Part of the 1994 World Cup three-coin program, this half dollar captures the energy of individual soccer skill. The obverse features a single soccer player in action, running down the field with the ball at his feet, while the reverse displays the official World Cup USA 1994 logo with laurel branches. Designed by Richard T. LaRoche/Dean McCullen. Struck in 75% copper, 25% nickel over a pure copper center, weighing 11.34 grams, 30.6 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #9681.
